My career started when I received an Easy Bake
Oven for my 6th birthday.
The baking bug has been with me ever since. Being a connoisseur
of all
things sweet, I've tried every dessert that
exists. Despite the wonderful
array of desserts out there, what I really love
is CAKE.
What is a “Caketisserie Chef”,
you ask? Unlike a Patisserie Chef or
Baker,
who specializes in all desserts and pastries, I
specialize exclusively in CAKES.
My philosophy is that it
doesn't matter how pretty a cake looks unless it's
heaven in your mouth as well! Being
unable to find the YUM and WOW
coupled in one cake, I decided to take matters
into my own hands.
I started retrieving passed-down family baking
secrets, picking the brains
of my baker-friends, getting a ton of books,
watching baking shows, and
experimenting endlessly with recipes. I've taken Baking and Cake Decorating
classes at Glendale College, Michael's, and
Jane's Bakery. Eighty percent of
the time you can find me in the kitchen amidst
a sweet & cinnamony aroma,
at the store buying sugar, eggs & cute
decorating doo-dads, or asleep dreaming
about how I will decorate the next cake.
I'm really excited about cakes. I have an insatiable addiction to the
smile
cakes bring to people's faces, and I love the
blissful sound of Mmmmmm!!
